YOUTH - THE CHURCH NOW

A wise man once observed that young people are "present" in the Church in both senses of the word - they are here now and they are a gift.

Young people at Saint Matthias Church are involved in many areas of the parish's life. They are also involved in activities beyond the parish.

The Youth Commission of the Diocese of Western New York sponsors a number of activities throughout the year. Follow this link to learn more about youth ministry in the Diocese.

Many of the young people of the parish - and the Rector - have been active in the Happening movement on the Diocese.  Saint Matthias parishioner  Rowland Brown served as rector for Happening weekend  #26 held April 16-18, 2010.
